“Before you call, I will answer; And while you are still speaking, I will hear.” (Isaiah 65:24)

Moses was leading the Israelites out of their bondage in Egypt to the land of Canaan according to the will of God. But on the way, they became restless and discontented and started giving trouble to Moses. Therefore, Moses prayed to God for the things they asked and God delivered him from his troubles by answering his prayer and giving them the things they had asked.

The time came for a student to write his tenth standard government examination. Just a few days before the examination, he fell sick. He became very anxious thinking, “The time to write my examination has come near. Oh, I am down with severe fever.
Will I be fit enough by the time my examinations begin?” His devout mother went to the “Jesus Calls” Prayer Tower and cried out fervently with tears to the Lord. She also encouraged him to pray. The Lord heard the prayer that was made with one accord, in the time of trouble. At the right time, the Lord delivered him from his physical suffering and enabled him to appear for his examination. He also crowned him with great success.

SCRIPTURE to LIFE

Likewise, if you also cry out to the Lord in times of your troubles, He will deliver you. Yes, He will answer your prayers. The Lord will answer you when you call upon Him, when faced with terrible hardship like tempests, troubles and anguish that strike your life. He will also deliver you and save you. Therefore, stop focusing your mind on your trouble, let your eyes only look at the Lord Jesus who can deliver you from your distress. God is a faithful God and all His promises will come to pass. As the psalmist says “ When he calls out to Me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver and honour him” (Psalm 91:15).

Prayer:
Lord God Almighty! I praise You for enabling me to learn through this verse, that You are my awesome Redeemer who answers me and delivers me when I cry out to You in my time of trouble. Give me the grace to believe that You would do this for me and to hold fast to You, under all circumstances.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen
